Using DuckDuckVoice

DuckDuckVoice is a macOS utility that changes only the local Spotify desktop app's volume during a foreground session you start. You are responsible for confirming that your Mac, Spotify app, and intended voice assistant meet the listed requirements.

License

A one-time purchase grants one person a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use DuckDuckVoice on Macs they personally use, for personal or commercial work.

You may not resell, redistribute, rent, sublicense, publish license credentials, or present DuckDuckVoice as your own product. Ordinary backup copies for your own use are allowed.

Price and payment

The displayed price is $10 USD as a one-time charge, plus any tax Stripe is configured to collect. There is no recurring subscription. Stripe processes payments and may apply its own checkout terms.

After confirmed payment, the download page and delivery email provide a private link that remains valid for 30 days. Save the disk image for your own permitted backup use. Contact support if a successful purchase is not delivered.

Beta software and updates

DuckDuckVoice is beta software. Audio devices, macOS privacy controls, Spotify behavior, and supported assistant processes can change. The app includes restoration safeguards, but you should verify volume after a fault or forced quit.

Maintenance updates may be provided, but a purchase does not promise every planned feature, perpetual compatibility, or all future major versions. Lower, Mute, and custom duck-volume controls are included in the current app. Pause is not included unless it is explicitly marked as shipped.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app to interfere with someone else's device, evade platform safeguards, distribute malware, or violate applicable law or third-party terms.

Warranty and responsibility

The software is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or compatibility with every future macOS, Spotify, device, or assistant release. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited, including mandatory consumer protections.
